Felony Assault Charge Reduced

WHAT HAPPENED: Hudson Law represented a client initially charged with rape and felony assault following a domestic dispute. Through effective litigation with the Commonwealth and effective litigation during an Emergency Protective Order hearing, Hudson Law was able to prevent the client from being indicted on rape charges.

THE RESULT: By highlighting issues with the alleged victim’s credibility and their involvement in the criminal conduct, the firm successfully reduced the remaining felony assault charge to a misdemeanor, resulting in no jail time for their client.

Theft Charge Dropped

WHAT HAPPENED: At a craft fair, Hudson Law’s client was charged with Theft by Unlawful Taking after being accused by a rival seller, who had previously made similar allegations. Upon careful review of the accuser’s statements, Hudson Law identified several inconsistencies and the lack of supporting evidence.

THE RESULT: The firm successfully negotiated a complete dismissal of all charges, that were later expunged from the client’s record.

Child Endangerment: Case Dismissed

WHAT HAPPENED: Hudson Law represented a client accused of endangering the welfare of her children after a neighbor reported concerns about the condition of the client’s new home. During the investigation, Hudson Law learned that the police entered the residence without consent, violating the client’s Fourth Amendment rights.

THE RESULT: Following a successful motion by Hudson Law to suppress the unlawfully obtained evidence, and because of the thorough cross-examination by Hudson Law of the officers involved, the court dismissed all charges against the client.

Sentence Significantly Shortened by 47 Years

WHAT HAPPENED: Facing nine serious charges, including DUI and felony kidnapping, and up to 50 years in prison, the client turned to Hudson Law. After reviewing nearly 30 videos and witness statements, Noel Hudson found that while the evidence for fleeing and evading police was strong, proof of kidnapping was limited. Using his deep prosecutorial experience coupled with strategic negotiations, Hudson secured a significant reduction in charges.
